SEVEN DEADLY SINS
GREED
Greed (Latin, avaritia), also known as avarice or covetousness, is, like lust and gluttony, a sin of excess. However, greed (as seen by the church) is applied to the acquisition of wealth in particular. St. Thomas Aquinas wrote that greed was "a sin against God, just as all mortal sins, in as much as man condemns things eternal for the sake of temporal things." In Dante's Purgatory, the penitents were bound and laid face down on the ground for having concentrated too much on earthly thoughts. "Avarice" is more of a blanket term that can describe many other examples of greedy behavior. These include disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason,[citations needed] especially for personal gain, for example through bribery . Scavenging[citation needed] and hoarding of materials or objects, theft and robbery, especially by means of violence, trickery, or manipulation of authority are all actions that may be inspired by greed. Such misdeeds can include simony, where one profits from soliciting goods within the actual confines of a church.
Well, the thing that comes along when I think of GREED is POLITICS. Isipin mo na lang kung gaano sana kayaman ang bansa natin kung hindi inaabuso at ninanakaw ng mga gahaman na politiko ang pera na dapat ay nilalaan sana sa mga mamamayang PILIPINO. Hindi na sana kailangan ng mga mahal natin sa buhay na maghanapbuhay sa isang estrangherong bansa at magsilbi sa mga dayuhan na SANA ay nilalaan nila sa kanilang pamilya.

SEVEN DEADLY SINS
I remember, we had this previously in our Philosophy.
But since i'm dying to play DOTA now, I'll be posting it one at a time.
GLUTTONY- a misplaced desire of food or its withholding from the needy
Gluttony in Christianity
Church leaders from the Middle Ages (e.g., St. Gregory the Great, St. Thomas Aquinas) took a more expansive view of gluttony, arguing that it also consists in an anticipation of meals, the eating of delicacies, and costly foods, seeking after sauces and seasonings, and eating too eagerly.[2]
St. Gregory the Great, a doctor of the Church, described five ways by which one can commit sin of gluttony, and corresponding biblical examples for each of them:[3]
1. Eating before the time of meal in order to satisfy the palate.
Biblical example: Jonathan eating a little honey, when his father Saul commanded no food to be taken before the evening.
2. Seeking delicacies and better quality of food to gratify the "vile sense of taste."
Biblical example: When Israelites escaping from Egypt complained, "Who shall give us flesh to eat ? We remember the fish which we did eat in Egypt freely ; the cucumbers and the melons, and the leeks and the onions and the garlic," God rained fowls for them to eat but punished them 500 years later.
3. Seeking after sauces and seasonings for the enjoyment of the palate.
Biblical example: Two sons of Eli the high priest made the sacrificial meat to be cooked in one manner rather than another. They were met with death.
4. Exceeding the necessary amount of food.
Biblical example: One of the sins of Sodom was "fullness of bread."
5. Taking food with too much eagerness, even when eating the proper amount, and even if the food is not luxurious.
Biblical example: Esau selling his birthright for ordinary food of bread and pottage of lentils. His punishment was that the "profane person . . . who, for a morsel of meat sold his birthright," we learn that " he found no place for repentance, though he sought it carefully, with tears."

Bad day off

Mariemil is 18!!
Naks, nagdebut ang friend ko kanina, It wasn't a formal party after all. Ako nga pala ang gumawa ng invitation and her banner. ehem. Super saya ng friend ko kasi lahat kami nandoon. Kasama ko dumating sa party si Norman, Romi and Ilia. I was in her 18 candles and for the first time, nagbigay ako ng message ko sa isang debut. LOL. Nahihiya kasi ako magsalita sa mga formal na debut. Pero kanina I feel comfortable speaking in front of the other guests kasi nga puro mga kalokohan lang ang mga message namin. May inuman pa sana ngayon but we decided to go home na lang kasi nilalagnat si Norman. Kahit bitin ay happy na rin ako dahil kahit hindi maganda pakiramdam nya ay pinilit nya pa rin pumunta. Mabo-bore lang talaga ako siguro kung si Romi at si Ilia lang kasama kasi ang ginawa lang nila sa buong party ay magbantay ng mga bisita na sa tingin nila ay nakakatawa. Hindi na kami nagpahatid ni Ilia kena Norman dahil nagtaxi na lang kami pauwi sa amin. Plano sana namin talaga after the program ay lumabas na lang at magchek-in na lang sa madaling araw. Kaya lang hindi na talaga kaya ni Norman kaya umuwi na lang kami. P500 ang binayaran namin sa taxi. Hati naman kami kaya hindi ganun kamahal. Pagdating ko dito sa bahay, kumain ako ulet. Hindi naman ako makakain ng maayos kasi mayat-maya ay may sinundo kami na bisita sa labas. I think this is enough for the week. Sa monday magiging busy na ako kasi for sure regular na ang class namin. So that's it. I have to rest na rin. Babay!!
